Could a catalogue have a smell?

• Challenge •

The client was "MORUQ eco solutions'' which produces natural beard care products.

We had appointment to finish the catalogue between 20-30 days. As their products have different scents my main challenge was to create illustrations which would speak about different scents of different products in catalogue. Another aspect of my challenge was to combine the illustrations made by me with photos of products made by company's photographer.

• Conceptual Idea •

First of all I started to study about the "MORUQ eco solutions'' brand, about their philosophy, target groups and goals. I clearly figured out that my work is going to be related to nature because the company stands out its eco-friendly ideas, products and packaging. I had a goal to create a catalogue with clean and minimalistic design and to find harmony between main design, illustrations and the quality of catalogue's paper (ONLY eco-friendly).
As I mentioned previously the illustrations had to speak about different scents of the company's products so I started to study about the components used in the products and I drew the main components.
I used ''Academic Drawing'' to fit company's philosophy (The power created by nature) because I was required to have a bit bold style as I dealt with men brand. Later I put the illustration of scent's components next to photographs provided by company.

• Final Result •

To sum up I could make the catalogue which matched my client's imagination and my creative power. The catalogue was made by eco-friendly paper, clearly described the philosophy and ideas of the company and it was very informative from point of view scents which was one of my general goals.
Straight after having this catalogue the company started to use it in Public Relations and SALES sectors, as the company's general PR manager announced it positively influenced on company's life.
